I could NOT be more excited to be part of 2019's Clark County Open Studios Tour, brought to you by Artstra, 49 other selected artists, and myself. ;) If you've never taken part in this wonderful weekend, you are absolutely missing out! 50 artists, all over Clark County, open up their own studios to the public, this year during the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd. Don't miss the Friday night before, however...that's the artists' reception and exhibition. You drink, you nosh, you look at samples of all of our work, and then you pick and choose your favorites so you can plan your weekend's studio visits.
There are so many benefits to being an artist on the tour...I love meeting my fellow artists, and visiting their studios. I am looking also looking forward to meeting folks that I've never met before, and answering their questions and sharing my art with them. Right up at the top of the list of great benefits, however, is this: I. Have. To. Clean. My. Studio!
It's a lot like inviting friends and family over for a visit, but on a heightened level, taking into account landscaping, walkways, etc. All of which are welcome (if not past due...).
FYI, I'm also tidying up my online/digital presence. I'm closing the Etsy shop today, to focus on my own site's shop. I will be retaining the Instagram and Facebook accounts.
First Frost of the Year was this morning...so now it's just a nice long beautiful slide into the Cold Season, and all the holidays it brings!
I hope you can visit me the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of November...it's also All Saints and All Souls Days for Day of the Dead, and I'll have my altar up and burning, and will be offering yummies that my ancestors and passed friends and family will enjoy. Please...come enjoy with me. ;)
Cheers! - Stefanie at Timely
